UPPL brings its content expertise and journalistic rigour to the United Nations Refugee Agency.
The work of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is helping to save millions of lives in more than 133 countries around the world.
UPPL is honored to work with UNHCR Canada and support its mandate to save lives, protect rights and build a better future for refugees.
“Our approach is to bring dignity and diversity to the stories of refugees that are published on UNHCR platforms. We are also highlighting Canadian programs and partners that play an essential role in protecting human rights, peacekeeping, economic development, and social equity,” said Tamy Emma Pepin, Founder and Director of UPPL.”

A Collaboration Rooted in Shared Values

Created in 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly, UNHCR’s work aims to guarantee the right to seek asylum and to find a safe haven for anyone who has had to flee violence, persecution, war or disaster in their country.
Since its creation, the organization has faced multiple crises on several continents and has provided vital assistance to refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons and stateless persons who have no one to turn to. (source)
As for UPPL, it was created in 2015 with the mission of putting its creativity and content expertise at the service of organizations, businesses, and individuals who actively contribute to the development and preservation of a better world. From its inception, UPPL’s mission was to contribute to the advancement of social equity through communications and storytelling.
